While we'll have to wait until January 26th to find out whether or not TayTay will literally grace the stage in pointe shoes, here are a few other famous musician-ballerina collabos to satisfy your classical cravings.
+ Watch Kanye West Perform "Runaway" at Coachella 2011
Even haters can't deny how magical Kanye West's rendition of "Runaway" at Coachella 2011 was. I was there, and I may or may not have cried. Like in the official music video, Yeezy brought out a bunch of ballerinas. His ability to seamlessly combine hip-hop and ballet just goes to show that differing cultures can exist alongside each other, and even combine to create something beautiful.
+ Watch Beyonce Perform "Dangerously in Love" at the 2004 GRAMMYs
Taylor's pending performance won't be the first time a female superstar has incorporated ballet in to a Grammys gig. Back in '04, a pair of African-American dancers swooped and swayed next to Beyoncé as she belted "Dangerously in Love." Ballet is known for its lack of diversity, which is why companies like the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater are working to infuse African-American culture with dance, and to introduce inner-city youth to classical art and movement. Also, if you wait until the end a freakin' bird flies in and lands on Queen Bey's hand. A freakin' bird!
+ Watch Florence & The Machine's "Spectrum" Music Video
Florence is known for her unparalleled grace and elegance, so it comes as no surprise that she's into ballet. In the music video for "Spectrum" — the second single off her 2011 album Ceremonials — Florence sings while surrounded by ballerinas who leap and twirl around her as if she's their red-headed queen.
There's still no telling whether or not Taylor Swift will mix country with classical at the 2014 Grammy Awards; you'll just have to tune in on January 26th on CBS to find out! In the meantime, follow the links below to use your epic dance moves to make a positive difference in the world.
